ULTRAMAT
ULTRAMAT is our compression-moulded, customisable ground protection mat, designed for superior strength, durability and consistency. ULTRAMAT are made from virgin high-density polyethylene, with a much higher molecular weight than regular polyethylene, and compression-moulded to ensure every mat is the highest quality. As a result, ULTRAMAT can handle vehicles up to 120 tonnes.
The ULTRAMAT traction pattern has been specially engineered to generate ideal grip from any direction. Anti-slip traction nubs prevent tyres from spinning but still allow them to turn, while the underside of the mat grips firmly to the ground, preventing unwanted movement.
ULTRAMAT are available for custom orders only, so minimum order quantities will apply. Choose your preferred colour and add your company logo or phone number. Lead time is usually around 3 to 4 months, once details have been confirmed.

COMPRESSION-MOULDED
ULTRAMAT is made from compression-moulded virgin high-density polyethylene (HDPE). TrakMat, AlturnaMAT, EuroMat and DuraDeck were compression-moulded mats that dominated the industry years ago, but have now become too expensive to stay competitive in the Australian market.
Many factories have swapped to extrusion-moulding over compression as a time and cost saving measure. This increases the rate at which mats can be manufactured, but compression-moulding remains superior in terms of strength, durability and consistency.
In contrast, ULTRAMAT is compression-moulded to guarantee the highest quality and ensure a consistent surface that handles the heaviest loads without breaking.
ULTRAMAT is the best option for high quality compression-moulded ground protection mats, but without the inflated price tag.
TRACTION SYSTEM
ULTRAMAT features a unique non-slip traction pattern, engineered to maximise grip in all directions - not just back and forward.
The oval-shaped reinforced plastic nubs are designed to grip the ground firmly to keep mats in place, while still allowing vehicle tyres to turn.
This design has been laboratory-tested against other traction patterns, by placing mats on sand and applying outside pressure to measure the static friction force. Results showed that ULTRAMAT had vastly more grip than competitors.
